About us
'Inspiring Childhood' is a unique development providing a comprehensive range of clinical and local authority/court assessment services for 'looked after children' and their families/carer's.
We can provide direct interventions to children and families e.g. individual psychotherapy or family therapy.
All members of the staff working for team are clinicians with over 20 years experience (including current employment) of working with children and families with mental health problems within the NHS, in private practice and as independent expert witnesses.
We have training, expertise and experience on a consultation level in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Family Therapy and Clinical Psychology, and access to our consultant colleagues' expertise in other fields of clinical practice such as child and adolescent psychiatry. We have research credentials to doctoral levels, as well as published work in relevant professional publications. We regularly teach and consult to professional groups within the NHS, Social Services departments and Educational departments. We are 'Heads of Services' within the NHS and have a role of a clinical director of the therapeutic community for very young children in care of the local authorities. We are registered with the relevant UK professional authorities that regulate our professional conduct.
